Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) and Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) have removed the language from the Labor-HHS Appropriations bill that would have expanded human embryo stem cell experimentation.  The language which was removed would have changed the cut-off date for utilizing embryonic stem cell lines for research from August 9, 2001 to June 15, 2007.
