LifeNews.com reports that the Defense Department funding bill does not contain measures that use American's tax dollars to fund abortions.  However, look out for bad amendments to be offered for this bill on the House floor.

For more information on how to prevent tax dollars from supporting abortions click here.

Talk about a "step in the right direction."  Pro-Lifers should be encouraged by measures to highlight the humanity of the unborn.  Story here.

Would that more people would stand up to the ACLU like these two counties did.

As if Amnesty International needed more ways of diminishing their credibility, they now officially support abortion "rights."

Despite all the misinformation about abstinence education, this article reveals that "9 of 10 parents want their children [to be] abstinent [and that a] majority believe teaching contraception encourages sexual activity."

Unfortunately, the dangerous, unnecessary, and unconstitutional thought crimes bill (H.R. 1592) passed in the House of Representatives and will eventually be considered by the U.S. Senate.  Fortunately, President Bush has indicated that he will veto the legislation.

The Supreme Court, in a 5 - 4 ruling, recently upheld the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban of 2003.  This is encouraging news for the pro-life movement though much more progress must be made.  Though this ruling is just a "step in the right direction" pro-lifers should be encouraged to continue the fight for life.  For a news story on the ruling click here.

The ruling this federal court makes could have powerful implications for the pro-life cause. Hopefully the court’s decision will support and not undercut the recognition of the humanity of the unborn.

Last night (Wednesday, April 11) the U.S. Senate voted 63-34 to pass S. 5, which calls for increased public funding of research that destroys human embryos (read text here). Embryonic stem cell research is both immoral and unnecessary. Unfortunately many in Congress want to spend your tax dollars on it anyway. To see how your senator voted consult the vote box on our Vote Watch Page.

Great article on the importance of appointing federal judges who will uphold the constitution and not legislate from the bench. She gives Bush high marks so far and offers hope for the future.

This scientific article tells how female adult stem cells may be more useful than their male counterparts but the underlying fact that even single cells posses sex characteristics is interesting. Even single-celled human embryos are either male or female, which would seem to support the argument that human life begins at conception.
