Chris Matthews, MSNBC talking head extraordinaire, thinks Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY), of notorious Twitter fame, and the Democratic Party are in big trouble politically because of backward Christian conservatives.  If only more of our elected officials had backward moral sentiments!  Then maybe Congressmen wouldn't be engaging in disgraceful and reprehensible behavior over the internet.

NBC 13, AP, and the LA Times report.

Several other District Courts and Circuit Courts have considered the constitutionality of Obamacare.  Ultimately, this case will be heard before the Supreme Court.

The Indianapolis Star reports that HHS has refused to fund Indiana’s Medicaid program as long as the state prohibits taxpayer funds from going to Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider and the subject of a sex abuse cover-up scandal.  Apparently the Obama administration wants to make sure your tax dollars support Planned Parenthood.

ABC 7 Los Angeles reports.  Here’s the ACLU’s press release.  It’s incredibly ironic that the same people who think the First Amendment is for porn and nude dancing, want to limit free speech during political campaigns and think supporting traditional sexual morality is hate speech.

AdavnceUSA wishes you a happy Memorial Day full of thankfulness for those who, in the immortal words of Abraham Lincoln at Gettysburg, “gave their lives that [our] nation might live.”  Rep. Jeff Miller helps us appreciate that sacrifice.

Jim Daly has a great article on Fox News explaining the case against same-sex marriage.  So many people have the mistaken view that wanting to preserve the traditional definition of marriage is hateful or intolerant, but believing something to be wrong is not the same as hating people.  Many feel that champions of traditional marriage are trying to force their morality on others.  In fact, it is those who want to redefine marriage and legitimize homosexuality who are forcing their morality on others.  If you’ve ever been confused about why we should oppose the redefinition of marriage, read Jim’s article.

Parent Central California and The Today Show report on this tragic case.  If only these misguided parents understood that gender is a gift from God and is something to be grateful for, not something to be ashamed of.

The U.S. Senate is set to vote today on the nomination by President Obama of Goodwin Liu to sit on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals (already known as a liberal and activist court).  Ed Whelan and Curt Levey explain why Liu’s nomination should be opposed by people who believe in the limited role of judges to apply (not create) the law and respect the U.S. Constitution.

UPDATE: Republican Leader Mitch McConnell predicts Liu's nomination will fail, while Sen. Hatch explains his opposition.

UPDATE 2: The cloture vote on the nomination of Goodwin Liu just failed by a vote of 52 - 43 (cloture requires 60 votes).  Liu's nomination has therefore been rejected.  Andrew Stiles reports.  See how both your senators voted here.

Dr. David Prentice explains how ethically-obtained adult stem cells are and have been providing real treatments and cures, while unethical embryonic stem cells (which require the destruction of human embryos) still have yet to show real promise.

Meanwhile, Australian scientists have successfully obtained pluripotent stem cells (cells that can become any type of tissue) from kidney tissue (via induced pluripotent stem cell research, aka “iPSC”).  Like embryonic stem cells, iPSC produce pluripotent stem cells, but unlike embryo derived cells, they don’t involve the destruction of innocent human life at an early stage of development.
