One
of the first companies to get into the business of destroying human embryos
for stem cell research has
decided to terminate or sell its embryonic stem cell research program in
order to focus on more profitable cancer research. This is just another indication that
embryonic stem cell research is not just unethical, it’s also unprofitable. Taxpayer dollars should not be spent on such
research, especially since ethical forms of adult stem cell research and
induced pluripotent stem cell research offer so much potential.
